Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit this website and use the Garage+ app. In short: Garage+ requires no user account, your vehicle data stays on your device and in your own iCloud, and we use no advertising or tracking.

2. This website

Hosting and server log files

This website is served via Cloudflare Pages by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, requested page, referrer, browser and operating system) to deliver the website and protect it against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. A data processing agreement is in place with Cloudflare; transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, in which Cloudflare participates, and on standard contractual clauses. No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and loads no third-party content (such as web fonts). Links to the App Store lead to Apple, where Apple’s privacy policy applies.

3. The Garage+ app

Vehicle data and iCloud

All data you enter in Garage+ (vehicles, reminders, service entries, fuel log, photos and documents) is stored locally on your device. If iCloud is enabled on your device, it is synced via Apple CloudKit in the private database of your Apple Account. We have no access to this data. The provider is Apple Distribution International Ltd., Ireland; Apple’s privacy policy applies.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device. No data is sent to us or to third parties for this. You can revoke the permission at any time in the system settings.

Camera, photos and receipt recognition

When you scan a fuel receipt, the app accesses the camera or photo library with your permission. Text recognition happens exclusively on your device using Apple Vision and, where available, Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models). Receipts are not sent to us or to any external AI service.

In-app purchases (RevenueCat)

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple; we never receive payment details. To manage purchases we use RevenueCat, Inc., USA, which processes a randomly generated anonymous user ID, Apple purchase receipts, device and app information, and the IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract). Data transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. Crash and error reports (Sentry)

To analyze errors and improve stability, the app uses Sentry, operated on our own servers (sentry.spacecode.eu), so no data is sent to the Sentry vendor. For crashes and performance measurements, technical data is processed: device model, operating system and app version, error and trace logs, and the IP address. The contents of your vehicle data are not deliberately transmitted. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a reliable app. The data is deleted automatically after 90 days.

4. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Please contact us at the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Austria, this is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.

You can delete your vehicle data yourself at any time by removing it in the app, or by uninstalling the app and deleting the related iCloud data in your Apple Account settings.

We update this policy when the app, the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
